Kendra Cobb, 25
George Percak-Dennett, 27
When did you get engaged?
May 2014 – the last week sometime? Oops. May 2015, near the end of the month
May 25th 2015? Is that right? The 25th, 26th, 27th? Is it any of those days?
Where and how did the proposal take place?
Wildcat Den State Park. It was so green and lush outside! Liz and John were with us and we took Rufio and Baxy. George was more chipper than usual and I just wanted to chill and walk and enjoy the scenery. George runs up to me and says “Kendra! LETS GO! C’MON!” waving his hands and takes off running down the wooden stairs through the woods. My thoughts? “Are you f***ing kidding me..? I do. not. want. to. run.” But I did anyway because he was so dang excited. We got to an overlook area with a little waterfall and giant rocks and trees behind him. Rufio ran up to us with a dog tag that had “I don’t want to be a bastard anymore.” I laughed so hard and I didn’t understand it in the moment but then George got down on one knee and just smiled so HUGE. I cried and said “YES” He didn’t even have to ask. I had NO idea and I was so surprised. Liz and John brought champagne and plastic champagne flutes in their backpacks and finished hiking. It was an amazing day.
The proposal was masterminded by me, took place in late May 2015. Wildcat Den on a majestic overlook where Rufio, a long time wingman, had a note for Kendra to read. (Which was adorable) It said “I don’t want to be a bastard anymore”. When Kendra read the note, she realized that her dreams had finally come true. Then we drank champagne out of little champagne cups and now we live happily ever after.
How did you first meet?
I first saw George at Boomer’s house! 1515 Callahan?? Our first date was at Qdoba with Steve Pappas (Best Man) K – “Dang, these things [burritos] are huge!” G – “That’s what she said.” Earlier that day he also ran his bike into an opening car door.
I creeped on her on Facebook and at Wally’s. Our first date, I’m not sure, but I’m pretty sure we went on a 3-way date with me, her and Steve.
When & how did you first fall in love with your significant other?
No specific moment?? However, I significantly remember really, really enjoying his company playing Donkey Kong on Super Nintendo in the Dungeon drinking beer, listening to Sublime, and eating hot wings.
I love her butt. What can I say? I think that sums up everything.
What’s the most memorable date you’ve had?
So MANY!! As always, I LOVED our trips to Six Flags Great America. (Thanks Liz and John) All of our most memorable dates I liked were with all of our friends and family, actually. Not sure if those count but laser tagging, camping, canoeing beer trips, hiking trips? I just like being around him.
April 25th because it’s not too hot and not too cold. Just kidding. Six flags with me, Kendra, Liz and John. Probably the most fun I’ve had.
What quality do you most admire about the other person?
George is so passionate about life and is so happy and uplifting with everyone and everything. He is the most supportive and honest person I know. Also, he’s pretty muscular and manly too.
Extremely respectful and trustworthy and awesome and fun to be around.
What was the best engagement present you received?
All the camping stuff and booze.
**Creepy George Stare** Seriously, how is that not a pervy question??
